DMV LINKS GO RED FOR

HEALTHY HEARTS

THE LINKS, INCORPORATED

Hip Rock Star was obtained to execute the Live Broadcast Production of the 2021 13th Annual DMV Red Dress Links Event.  The event serves to 1. Educate the Community and DMV Links

Members about the #1 Killer among Black Women; Heart Disease & Stroke. 2. To showcase comprehensive ways to combat the “Silent Killer” with a TOTAL HEALTH approach to SELF-CARE & WELLNESS.

Thirteen Links Chapters in the DMV joined forces with the American Heart Association - Greater Washington Region and Platinum Plus sponsor MELĒ Skincare, Platinum sponsors Inova Heart and Vascular Institute, BlackDoctor.org, Monarch Magazine and Black Health Matters to host our annual heart health and wellness community event on #NationalWearRedDay.

With the global health crisis affecting the African-American community disproportionately, particularly those with pre-existing conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity it is paramount that The Links’ health and wellness signature events continue to take center stage. We are on a mission now more than ever to deliver transformational programming to the community to change lives for the better. Let’s go RED!

Red Dress is always a FREE event that brings together thousands of women (and men) in the DMV community and beyond to eradicate THE NUMBER ONE KILLER of women, heart disease/stroke!

Attendees will get the 411 on the following topics and more:

• Heart Health

• Mental Health

• Weight Management

• Wellness

• Fitness

• Nutrition

• Self-Care

• COVID-19
